Together, We Can Do Better

These are evolutionary times.
No time like the present do we sit at both the edge of major turmoil and uncertainty and, at the cusp of enormous potential and change. No time like the present encourages more focus on innovation, exploration, invention, experimentation and investment in the greatest resource: our people, than now.
Despite economic turmoil, political upheaval, inequality, climate change and all the negativity of the world we live in, great opportunity still beckons and an awareness of a better future waits to be realized.
But it’s up to us to get us there.
For the only way we can realize the bright future that awaits, is to work together. That is our responsibility and our new shared purpose.

“It is not often that a man can make opportunities for himself. But he can put himself in such shape that when or if the opportunities come he is ready.”

As one of the most visionary corporations in the world, with some of the most ubiquitous and iconic products in the market today, Apple stands as the global brand everyone knows. And it was their breakthrough product the iPod that got them to where they are today. But Apple wasn’t always the shining star.
By the early 1990s, Apple was on the verge of a slow descent into mediocrity. Steve Jobs, Apple’s founder & driving creative force had been pushed out in 1985 and the company had lost focus ever since.
It wasn’t until Jobs joined the team once again in 1997 that the company steadily regained focus (and profit) and was soon positioned to take advantage of a crucial opportunity.

“Everything can be explained to the people, on the single condition that you want them to understand.” ― Frantz Fanon, The Wretched of the Earth
In no other time in history have we enjoyed such unprecedented access to information from any source, anywhere around the world, anytime we need it.
No longer are we limited to the information we can physically find in the offline world. In this increasingly technologically-advanced world, we are only limited by time, space, need and creativity.
Yet the downside of living in this information age is that we are also constantly inundated by information. Email, blogs, websites, mobile devices, ads, TV, radio, social media etc., constantly consume our attention and add to what many call information overload.
